About The Indiana Bridal Guide™

Bridal Survivor Seminar & Open House is here!

It's taken several months of planning to put together possibly the best wedding seminar ever! And the response has been overwhelming. Seminar's & Open Houses have already begun in Kokomo and Lafayette,  and we are already scouting locations in Ft. Wayne and Indianapolis. Check out the Bridal Survivor information pages with upcoming schedules and RSVP information. Remember seating is limited!

Here we grow again! The Indiana Bridal Guide is outgrowing it's current web structure. Over the month of May we will be upgrading to new software that will handle our rapid growth. We appreciate your patience as we make this major transition.

Cash Bar vs. Open Bar
Christa Tharp

Opinions vary on this subject widely!  If you look at any high fashion Bridal magazine they will say it is never appropriate to have a cash bar ~ but hey ~ they can afford it.  What if you can’t?  Here are your options:

Open Bar ~ This means you pay for EVERYTHING your guests consume. Beer, wine, soda & hard liquor.  Be prepared to pay!  We’ve had one bride who’s bar tab equaled $12,000!!

Cash Bar ~ Usually, this is where you pay for the beer, wine and soft drinks.  But the guests can pay for their own mixed drinks if they would like.  There is nothing wrong with this.  However, don’t ever expect your guests to pay for their soft drinks or coffee.  This is NEVER acceptable.  You can also specify how much beer and wine is to be used and once it’s gone, it’s gone.

Signature Drink ~ Want alcohol but not the expense?  Create a signature drink and let that be the only alcohol at the wedding.  It’s creative and saves money!

No Alcohol ~ It is completely up to you whether you serve alcohol or not.  It is not a prerequisite to having a great reception.  What’s most important is to do what you and your family feel most comfortable doing.

It’s your wedding ~ have fun
